No post today, got way too swamped with work and looks like I will be here late. However I promise one will be up at some point this weekend and I'll throw a bonus your way next week as an apology! xoxo
I know it can be frustrating, but I have been blogging regularly (and adding bonuses) for over six months, and only postponed it three times, always making up for it. You have to understand we do this in our spare time on top of jobs, friends, relationships and life and I don't want to half-ass a post for you guys! I want to make it good.
Not to be a bitch but if you can't accept that, then don't read the blog.
You know, even after checking this blog like 10 million times today for an update .. I completely understand. Don't get me wrong, super bummed.
However, unlike most bloggers EVERY time you are delayed at writing a post or can't make a scheduling .. you ALWAYS make it up with a bonus.
You've made a commitment to your readers to post on certain days at certain times, yes. However, to those who are hating because life got in the way - think about if you were in her shoes you were sick or your child/children are sick ('cause we can all predict those or how long they last, right?) .. would you still want to post? Or if an actual work commitment came up that you actually get paid for .. which would be your first priority?
Just be happy she writes this blog at all and if you think it's sooo terrible a blogger misses a post, try starting up your own and see how long you can hold a perfect posting schedule.
Danielle - you are doing an AMAZING job and I'm always eager for the next post, posting late just means waiting in suspense a little longer. Don't work too late tonight .. it is Friday after all ;).
I don't think the initial poster deserved this type of response either. I think there may have been a misunderstanding in how the post was perceived. I don't feel like the initial post was intended to come off as a negative statement to the blogger.
Either way, I think this comment was difficult to decipher, and before any assumptions were made, clarity was needed.
Absolutely loooove this blog. Love the writer and her commitment/consistency. Love that she says if she won't be posting, and is kind enough to "make up" for it, even though she doesn't have to because as we all know, life is busy. Couldn't say anything negative about this blog since it started. But really really hate when writers lash out at feedback. /: being criticized sucks, but I always admire when a writer keeps their head up.
I posted the original comment. Dani I've been long time reader but after your tirade I'm done with your blog. If I had personally insulted you maybe it would've made sense. Me saying I understand and that all blogs I read are going through the same thing equals insulting you. I can only imagine how you'd react if someone actually did insult or criticize you. There are many blogs where the writers are kind and understanding and dint resort to insulting their read. Never reading this blog again. Bye.
I think that she's saying that telling someone they don't have to read your blog is insulting. She wasn't trying to insult you and you became defensive. Even your response is defensive. Maybe you were having a bad day or overwhelmed but no need to lash out at readers. And then on top of you it you get other readers defending your actions when this poster said something your perceived as rude.
Well, the first commenter should have been more clear on what she meant if she didn't want to insult her.
And holding other people's comments against her is unfair. It's not like she msged people asking them to defend her. And how is saying if you don't want to read then don't insulting?
You ALWAYS do bonus posts, even when you're not late! That's so awesome! This is a great blog, you're doing a great job and you are super reliable. Everyone knows that :) don't let people get you down. I love your writing and appreciate all you give us!
Some people just want to ruin it for the rest of us which is a shame :( negative comments like that make a blogger feel like they aren't seen for all the hard talented work that they put in. I for one love this blog and although I never comment on how much I enjoy it I thought I would today, sense someone decided to say something so outrages. Yes it's disappointing to have to wait alittle longer but at least we know we are getting an amazing story. And life happens this is a made up blog which in the long ruin is a great read up not as important as life! So to those you are saying negative things maybe you need to get a real life instead of living through a blog! Love this blog :)
It sucks because we love your posts, but I 100% do not blame you or feel any ill will towards you. Being busy is part of life! And extra thanks for updating us; I really appreciate the consideration as a reader.
This is one of the only blogs I read that is TOTALLY worth the wait. I'm never disappointed. Enjoy your Friday night and don't stress! Can't wait for the bonus :)
No offense because i understand life happens. Like every blog I read has the same issue or isn't posting on time.

Maybe the first poster wasn't as understanding but I don't think she said anything mean or hurtful to warrant such an attack.
DeleteI agree with this^
